Stole their bad taste

In his psychedelic dreams, Salvador Dalí was not a painter but a thief. Yet, as a thief, he was just as original as he was as an artist: he did not steal people’s treasures — he stole their bad taste, and in doing so, initiated them into the realm of the beautiful.
